Andrew Stock has been painting since childhood, having been inspired and mentored by Sir Peter Markham Scott. He has travelled widely in pursuit of material, including trips to Antarctica and South Africa. He makes sketches on his travels which are worked into full-scale oils, watercolours and etchings in the studio. Stock specialises in wildlife and landscape. He has been a member of the Society of Wildlife Artists since 1983 and served as its president for five years from 2004; he is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers.
