Clive McBain's representational paintings are minute observation allied with an instinctive understanding of colour and texture; qualities which have made him one of Sussex's most admired and distinctive painters.
McBain's love of birds and his detailed style stems in part from the influence of artist Raymond Harris Ching, whom Clive met whilst Ching was working on the Reader's Digest Book of British Birds.
