Mortimer Ricardo (1807-1876) was a son of MP and renowned economist David Ricardo (1772-1823). He served as an officer in the Life Guards, a cavalry regiment, and was later a deputy-lieutenant for Oxfordshire. From 1840 he lived at Kiddington Hall in Oxfordshire.
