Jan Frederik Schütz (1817-1888) was a Dutch maritime painter. He was a student and latterly a lecturer at Middelburg Technical College and exhibited at the Hague from 1843. He was the first of three generations of maritime artists in the Schütz family who painted in the 19th and early-20th centuries. Examples of his work are held by the National Maritime Museum, Amsterdam and the Zeeland Museum, Middelburg.
