A view of the seafront at Beaumaris on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales from the Menai Strait. To the right of the composition lie the ruins of Beaumaris Castle, built by Edward I in 1282. Yachts sail along the Strait, possibly during a regatta, while figures spectate from the pier and waterfront.
