The art of going online

Country Life

Huon Mallalieu discusses the importance of galleries going online to show their stock during lockdown. With the Open Art Fair closing after the first two days he talks about the importance of the videos they produced of 'eerily unpeopled stands', with one or two items on each stand highlighted, and explains how the viewer can then easily link to the exhibitors website. With the constant referencing of the Second World war to our current predicament, he mentions of note, Rountree Tryon's, Frank Salisbury (1874-1962), Intercepting Doddlebugs over the South Coast, amongst works by other exhibitors at the fair. This work is still available on our website, click here for full details:  https://www.rountreetryon.com/artists/407-frank-owen-salisbury%2C-ri%2C-roi/works/11130-frank-owen-salisbury-ri-roi-intercepting-doodlebugs-over-the-south-coast-1944/
